Is Botox temporary?

Yes, botulinum toxin is a temporary treatment. In general, it will usually last for around 3-4 months. Some patients have reported this to be longer.

When will I see the results?

A typical patient will start to experience the effects within 5 days. Some patients will notice the full effects up to 10 days following the treatment.

How much are anti-wrinkle treatments?

Are anti-wrinkle injections the same as dermal fillers?

No, they are totally different things and work in a different way. Anti-wrinkle injections aim to stop wrinkles forming. Dermal fillers work by filling the wrinkles in order to create a smoother skin surface.

Do you offer alternatives to anti-wrinkle injections?

This depends on the condition you wish to treat. It may be the case that during consultation we decide that alternatives, such as dermal fillers or skin boosters will provide a better result for you. We will always suggest what we think is the best treatment for you.

Are anti-wrinkle injections safe?

Botox is generally regarded as a safe procedure, with millions of treatments being carried out each year. As with most procedures, there is a risk of side effects, although most of these can be traced back to poor technique, or poor clinical procedures. The large majority of side effects from Botox are minor, temporary issues such as swelling or bruising at the site of injection. These are lessened when all the proper precautions are carried out and the injector is a fully trained professional. Studies have shown that serious side effects are extremely rare.
